Please help us ensure that we can continue to use the amazing venue in the future. Rainbow’s End is a private nature reserve in a highly sensitive natural environment. This mountain fynbos area is home to many rare plant and animal species, and provides crystal-clear fresh water to the whole region. For this reason, it is very important that we do not pollute or damage the site. An official from Cape Nature Conservation will be present to assess the impact of this event, so please be sure to follow these simple rules and please encourage others to do the same:

1. Absolutely no Fires!

2. No Dogs (or other pets) allowed – this area is home to small antelope, otters, mongooses, birds and loads of other small creatures that don’t want competition.

3. No Littering, No Glass! There will be plenty of bins on site – please use them. Glass will not be allowed at the event, so please remember to bring your drinks in plastic containers. Promotional flyers will also not be allowed except at the exit when you leave. (Please contact us if you are Promoter and wish to advertise at the event)

4. No Stompies!! This is very important – please don’t throw them on the ground – you will be given a receptacle for your ash and stompies – please use it!

5. No boskak and loo paper in the bush! This is also really important – don’t do your business anywhere near the river – that means anywhere other than a toilet! We are making a special effort to provide sufficient toilets and to keep them clean for you.

6. Don’t pollute the water with grease or soap! Rinse off in the river, and if you really feel you need a wash, there will be showers with biodegradable soap kindly donated by Hemporium.

When you arrive, please also drive slowly along the access road without stopping until you reach the ticket station, stay on the road, camp only within the designated festival area and don’t remove or damage any plants, animals or natural objects. Festival Gates open on Friday at 3pm – Please dont arrive before as really we don’t want to keep you waiting at the gate.

Huge amounts of love and planning has gone into Origin this year, the venue is primed, the weather’s going to be perfect, the décor is stunning, the line-up rocks and all the ingredients are in place for an unforgettable experience, see you there
